The RV 4 Preemies is a unique service that provides families a place to stay in a fully-equipped recreational vehicle on hospital grounds while their infant receives necessary care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This service is provided free-of-charge to the families that use the RV and is available for as long as needed.
RV 4 Preemies program works to:
- To reduce the financial hardships stowed upon families by extensive travel to and from the hospital, Hotels/Motel cost
- Provide families a place to rest and relax during their stressful, emotional and physically draining time
- To allow the families to be close to their premature or critically ill newborns 24 hours a day
- Having these RV’s on hospital grounds at a minimal to no cost to the families is one less thing for them to worry about, during their times of need.
The foundation currently owns one RV, which is stocked with food, personal care supplies, linens, bedding, toys and activities for older children. The Foundation handles the stocking and maintenance of the RV while families use it.
If you or someone you know would like to make a tax deductible donation of a working RV, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
